Half Squid asked about a ride on speedzilla and this is what I through up for a plan. heres the link http://speedzilla.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=32454
Meet at McDonalds in Keene, NH
Take rt 10 North to Interstate 89 exit 13. I know, I know but it will only be for about 6 or 7 miles.
Get off exit 17 and onto rt 4 east. Follow that to rt 118 north.
Take 118 North through Wentworth, NH and onto Lincoln, NH to rt 112 (Kancamagus)
Take rt 112 east to rt 16.
Take rt 16 South to rt 28.
Take rt 28 South Back to Manchester, NH.
Total miles for that route is 230. It will be more for the rest coming and going to those locations. I have never been on the routes leading up to rt 112 so I dont know them. If we choose this route I will make some maps and print them out so everyone can have a copy and I will set up some way points, rest stops, lunch stop, and final break away spot.
So lets have some input.
Kevin, do you know when Drill is for October? Is it the 2nd and 3rd? If so then lets use the 9th as a rain date?
If people like this route I will take it this weekend to get a good idea how the roads are and some good rest spots.

PM me if you'd like some input for some roads that'll make that trip a bit more 'interesting'. It'll follow the general loop you've outlined. You're just missing some roads that MAY keep you a bit more off the driven path...![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
9ish???

Anyways, I dont think I will be in any condition to ride that day after a bachelor party Saturday night.... If I can control myself, and I will try.. I will be there. The routes sound good, and any advice Stoneman throws in will be a + !!

i'd probably like to go. anyone from down in the boston area interested in meeting and riding up?
WSMC #940
I'm probably headin up from Clinton, and that's about 45 minutes away from Boston. As long as that little two-fiddy can keep up, we can rip along Rt.2 then head north to Keene on Rt. 140 - Rt.12.

Hey Mike, what size are those tires??? I have a set of race tires in my garage that you can have for FREE. Sizes are 180/55 and 120/70 Dunlop 207GP. I think that you could get some good life out of them for street use. Let me know if you want them.
LRRS#167
the back tire is a 170/55. is there alot of difference between the two? i've squared my tire up pretty good. to much slabb'in on the highway.Originally posted by lrrs167

sounds good... hehehe if i can't keep up, i'm sure the two-fiddy won't be the limiting factorOriginally posted by TheIglu

Usually, you can go up or down one tire size in the rear without adversely affecting handling. So, a 180 size tire on your bike should work fine. My FZR1000 calls for a stock 170 rear, but because that size is often hard to find, I always run a 180 and have never had any problems. You may experience slightly heavier handling however you will quickly get used to it.
Send me a PM if you want to hook up and take the tires off my hands.

The pace will be up to the riders. If we agree with this route and which ever Stoneman suggest then I will make some maps and directions with waiting spots for everyone. I for one like the group rides where the pace is up to everyone. If you are fast pass, if you are slow you do your own pace and we have specific spots where everyone waits until they all show up. If we want a sweeper then so be it.

I think i'm coming if the weather is nice, as much as I love sunday football, gotta get all the riding I can in on these nice weekends.
Shoot the J!
I maybe intrested as well, Ill ride over with Stoneman or something considering we both live on this side of NH. I would be up for seeing some new roads in the north, since I just moved to Central NH. Unless I go Sat. with another friend of mine.
I dont think Stonner said he was riding.. BUT HE SHOULD!!!!![]()
Hey LRRS167, (Was it John?) I'll take them!! That is if they are not spoken for already..
