Modification Section

I know we have a maintence section but I was wondering if there was interest in a modification section.

This could be tips on what you can do to your stock bike bought from a dealer. Especially for Noobs like me that have no clue! I've been combing over other sites for what can be done. I know lots of people here have rebuilt bikes and changed things. I think it would be nice to showcase that! if there is interest.....

I think each type of bike has a respective forum for that. for example my gsxr has a website called gixxer.com that is dedicated soley to making my bike go faster with no other helpful information whatsoever

Re: Modification Section

I know there are specific sites for bikes, i've been checking them out. I just thought it would be cool to showcase mods people on this site have done and for what reasons.

example
R7 changing his gas tank on his motard
DaSarge's new wicked pissah bike
All the wicked cool paint scheme's for racing and street bikes
complete rebuilds from the ground up

I just feel more connected with NESR and like seeing what people do and for what reasons. I checked out CBR sites and while its interesting to see what people have done, i'm like, meh, cause I don't know of them. I just thought it might be fun.

This pretty much sums up why we've shied away from something like that. It's been asked a coupla times recently, and that basically spells out how we felt about it. That and the fact that we can't be entirely certain every thread would be a 'valid' mod for any given specific model. Yet go to any bike-specific massage board and your answers and questions about mods has most likely been covered time & time again...

Tons of mods on there. Most of them 600s with $10K worth of aftermarket parts to try to squeeze 3 hp more out of their bikes. Silly gixxer owners; they could have paid 1/5th that price and rolled a GSXR1K out of the showroom instead with ~40 Hp more.
