Setting suspension on a new bike

So I have had my bike for about 7 weeks and have not played with the suspension at all. From my reading online it appears that I should be adjusting the suspension to suit my riding/body type. Is this correct? And what do I need to adjust?

Anyone wanna help?

Read thread. GMDBOSTON is tied in with NESR. The best around. Take Pete up on the offer to setup for nothing. Suspension is his game!

Setting suspension on a new bike

Read this link from sportrider, it will tell you everything you need to know about setting suspension:
http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0006_susp/

Look at section 4 first to see if you even need to change the stock settings.
