Motards?

Hey Peter, what's up? I have a few questions on setting up a stock bike.
Take a 04 YZ450 out of the box and not wanting to open up or upgrade the forks and rear shock until the off season, what's the best settings for the stock suspension? I've heard to tighten up the compression and rebound on the forks and to pretty much leave the rear shock as is?
Also, what about sliding the forks up in the triple? It seems every has a different idea on this.

I weigh 185 lbs with all my gear on.

Thanks for your time

Tighten the rear spring about 5 turns, full hard on compresion, 6-10 clicks out, on rebound. Forks, raise the front as hight as it will go and still clamp in the upper triple clamp, 6 clicks out on compression and 10 clicks out on rebound. That will get you started.
