exactly how serious is this?

so since i got my bike the front end has been loose and finally i got my mechanic to take it out. turns out the bearing in the goose neck is loose. also the pre-sets are cranked up as high as they'll go and the ride is still soft.....soo the question is, can this wait or should i get it fixed asap.

Are you trying to say your steering stem bearings have play in them?

If so, that is very serious and should be corrected ASAP.

As for your suspension settings, what do you mean by the "pre-sets are cranked up"?

PS... I'm not the suspension guru, but I have a feeling Pete might need clarification of your comments too.

well u could compare it to when the handle bars on ur regular bike get lose..... and i mean adjusting the stiffness to your shocks, i have them cranked as high/hard as they will go and they're still way too soft.

guessin the oil is in need of a change & the shocks in need of a cleaning. Mine was the same way a couple weeks ago... a GMD Computrack front end "restoration" and she's 10 times better

give Pete a ring & get a quote. It's not cheap but it was worth it to me

Yep... just click on that banner at top and let Peter handle it.

If you're not sure of the terminology... you probably don't want to be working on it yourself.
