Question for Peter

Hi Peter,

You made some adjustments to my TLR at NHIS Oct 13th.

I went and checked my sag for real last night... and I tell you ... you were VERY close!! You must have done this once or twice before eh?

Anyway, after you adjusted the preload. you took the bike and bounced it a number of times with your foot while holding onto the end of one handlebar.

My question for you is this... What is it that you were doing there? Were you checking the damping forces for how the bike compressed and rebounded and made the front and back move in unison with eachother in both directions? This is just a guess.

I'm trying to learn a little something here. Could you tell me(and the rest of us) about what you were doing right there after the sag is set?

Thanks a bunch

Bob

Question for Peter

Sorry for the late reply, I just got back from Daytona. I was checking the balance in the damping front to back. I set the spring preload, and damping by feel, then check the balance. And yes, I've done it a few (thousand) times......
