fork questionwhat would be my best route to go on doing the front end of my 01SV? im looking into doing the F3 internal conversion, if you know what i mean. the forks go for about $350 on ebay. i just wanted to know what my other options would be. i know there are gold valve kits out there and blah blah blah, but that stuff isnt easily adjustable and in order to adjust it i got to take the forks apart. if i do this i will also be looking at a rear shock as well (not sure from who yet, if you have any suggestions). what would it cost me to go the F3 route or an alternate route? thanks in advance |

fork questionalso, i read somewhere that you can put TL forks on but i dont know to what lengths you would have to go to get them to fit. if its possible to put those on as long as you have everything the maybe thats a possibility ![]() |

fork questionI'm gonna jump in before Pete. Your best bet is a complete GSXR 750 front end. You end up with better forks, brakes etc. It's very easy to do too. There is a company that makes an upper steering head bearing so you can use the GSXR stem. I just did two SV's last week. One got an 05 750 front end and the other got an 02 750 front end. They both came out excellent. |

fork questionok, but how much? something tells me that GSXR forks are a little heavier than SV forks since they are USD. i would also need the wheel, spacers, axle, brakes, master cyl, lines..etc.. thats sounds way more expensive then just the F3 forks do me a price way better than $575 and ill think about it |

fork questionOx, give me a call and I'l explain some options. The F3 conversion is not safe because the Showa cap is 1mm smaller than the KYB fork on the SV. It does not have enough thread engagement to hold the load and may pop the cap right of the top of the fork. There are many other options to improve the fork, too many to list here, cause I type slow. Call me when you have a few minutes, I'm in all week. |

fork questioni beleive that the conversion uses the F3 inner tubes and the SV lower tubes so the cap wouldnt be an issue. but ill call you when i get a chance. |

fork questionTechnically that would make the bike illegal for Supersport. |
