What's the word on the recalled Pilot Powers ?
I have a front 2CT that I bought in the winter that
Degs just mounted for me a week ago, that's one of the
ones on the recall list!

Whats the process for getting a new one?

I can get them swapped for you, but right now there are none to swap with. The new CT2 will be in soon I hope.

Hey Pete,

I think that Degsy and I have 2CT fronts that are part of the recall.
These, we got through you in the winter.
If Dave can swing it I'd rather have them drop shipped right to
Derek in Taunton. That way I can just ride there.
Why handle them if you dont need to?

Dave said he would know more from Michelin by Monday.

I'll ask Dave again, but he told me that the tires I sold were not the 2CT Pilot Power, but are the Pilot Power Race. In any case whether you got them from me or not, I will help you guys get them swapped for the replacement tires.

hope you didn't think i was complaining about getting bad tires from you. i could care less, especially because of the deal i got from the group buy. actually i think its cool michilin is gonna give me a new front

and i have already called them and they said the number i gave from my tire was on the list

to bad it wasn't the rear though, i would have brought the tire to you looking the same as the last one you changed did

I will be dropping off some standard Powers of at Petes tomorrow.

Dave just left me with some Pilot Power "C" tires. I have 3 for now with more coming later. It looks like I sold only 4 of the fronts that were affected.

None of the Pilot Power Race fronts are part of the recall.

There are no 2CT's available for replacement. All I can get are the Standard Pilot Power "C" 120/70-17. Call me to set up a time to bring in your wheel and I will swap the tires while you wait.

I'd like to wait for a real 2CT as a replacement.
A rep at Michelin said that that option is ok.
Do I need to do anything for this option or just sit and wait ?

She said folks can ride their current 2CTs at "normal highway speeds"
obviously at your own discretion. I'm not telling you to go
kill yourself this is your decision to make on your own.
I'm gonna ride mine for now. Have been already.

But my batch which I just installed is the same run
as Degsy's and he's run his a few times at Loudon already
on his 999.
The Michelin rep on the phone said to just montior the tire for vibrations
or other performance anomolies.

Hi Pete,
I'm part of the recall as well. If possible, I'd like to wait for a 2CT replacement. I only have 5 mile on the tire right now and won't be riding it a whole lot in the near future. I'd also like to order a couple of parts. I'll do it all at the same time.

Check the recall codes from Michelin.
