The shock # is AP8271, it's on an 04 Aprilia RSVR. The eyelet I'm looking for is 10mm longer than the stock one. The shock is maxed out at 317mm now, trying to get it to 325.

I'll have you put it on when you have the shock and forks. When do you want them?

A heavy hand and a grinder. I may even get my friend to machine a new one up if it starts to look iffy.

i recall Clarkie doing this to his dogbone; he took some off the top of it and he shaved some off the bottom eye on the shock. Its too bad there is not a snap-in replacement for the linkage that will allow a steep angle for the swingarm. I guess you could make the whole thing a little longer... get rid of the stock linkage and fab-up something.

good luck!

O.K. I'll pull it this weekend. I'll need a second eyelet for the same shock (for a friend). Thanks
