lol. thats what i thought the first time i dropped mine off. fortunatly the SV frame would be straight if it was hit by a tank......... the forks on the other hand, not so much. i now keep an extra set of forks on hand.

which brings up a good question, peter long can i allow a set of forks to sit 100% dormant? should the oil be done once a year or can i get away with doing it less? second question, over the summer you mentioned you couldn't find anymore of the preload caps for the SV. have you found some since then? i still need them on my spare forks.

The oil will out last you and me if you don't use it. You can keep you spare indefinitely. I did find the parts for the preload caps, and I have tow sets in stock.

awesome, put my name on a set. next question on the list (possibly a dumb question). Middle/end of Nov. I just plan on bringing my forks and shock to you this year (off the bike), besides measuring the top of the fork tube to the triple, is there anything else i should measure to ensure when i put it all back together i end up with the same geometry? Shock?

hopefully final question, what can you get for triples for an SV? $$ including labor?? could be on my agenda, but not real high on the list.

I'll keep the shock length the same, so you just need your front ride height number. Are you looking for the adjustable clamps? And are you looking to replace the SV forks with GSXR or some thing else?

Looking to keep the SV forks to keep it SS legal. Do you see much of a benefit on the SV by going with adjustable triples? i don't see anything specific in the rule book that wouldnt allow it in SS so i guess it would be a price vs. benefit scenario.

The stock SV offset is 28 mm. That works ok, If you want some adjustable clamps, I can make a set, but a one off set is not cheap. Give me a call and we'll talk details.
