Don't use the 900RR it's one of the great Internet "it will work" myths. Both Progressive Suspension and Work Performance have been making high quality door stops for years.

Agreed... what about a Wilburs?

No USA support, so I won't sell them. They look nice though. If they have a good distribution system (not that joker working out of his garage, a serious Wilbers USA, like what Ohlins has) then would test one and see if we should carry them.

Nope, I read an installation manual for an RC 51 shock and that was all I needed to know. It could be the most unprofessionally written piece of propaganda I have ever seen.

You will have to be here by 8:00 am on Saturday, I have to leave at 8:30 for the weekend. Add $50 for shock installation of Ohlins, Penske, Elka, there is no charge for door stop disposal.

Hey Dan thats a great offer and I do appreciate it but the trailer is buried behind a frozen snow bank and its only the street bike . I'm sure I'll be able to tackle the project in a month or so.

Re: Suspension Service Special

PK, how busy are you these days? I'd like to get the forks serviced, but I would be bringing the whole bike. So I assume it'd be a bit more than the special prices for when the forks are removed, right? How much and when could I drop it off?
Oh, and bike is 05 636.

Add $112.50 for R&R of both the forks and the shock. This week is good, we start getting busy next week when the W2's come out.

Ok, sounds good. My work schedule is different everyday, but if I finish up earlier this week sometime, I'll give you a call. Would it be possible to drop it on Saturday? Are you open on Sat?

That was mine. It was for a Matris rear shock.....

Still really havnt rode the bike since you re-worked my forks and installed that rear shock for me, but the first test pretty much sucked. About $1500 into that suspension now and Im not excited about it. When springtime hits, Im going to need advice on how to tweak it. Im sure it will be better after some tweaking....

Why did the first test suck? I hope you were referring to the Matris.

Im not educated enough to know front from rear as far as why is sucked. The ride sucked. If I cant get it tweaked to where I like it with your help, Im going to have you install an Ohlins rear, and ditch the Matris. Hopefully I wont have to, but I dig this bike a lot and want it right...especailly since Ive got so much into it.

OK, good suggestion. Man, I dig this bike and Im struggling with this. I want it to be right and I know you guys can get it there. Im pissed at myself for trying to save $500 by going with this Matris instead of just getting an Ohlins from GMD like I knew I should have....DAMN EBAY! DAMN THEM!

Re: Suspension Service Special

pete you quoted me the other day a price that i assume included new valves in the forks and the whole blah blah. do you think it needs revalving? or could i get away with running the GSXR forks stock? you told me they had too much fluid in them during the classic.

Revalving is best. The vanilla set up you get from the factory is good on the stand, but sucks for racing.
