Winter Studded Tires!

My tire rep just handed me the 2008 price list for their Winter studded tires, so here is what I have to offer:

Michelin Winter Studded Tires 28mm:

80/100-21 280 Studs $247.50

100/90-19 300 Studs $265.50
110/90-19 300 Studs $265.50

100/100-18 300 Studs $265.50
110-100-18 300 Studs $265.50
120/100-18 300 Studs $265.50

Set price $499

For a less expensive alternative;
Cheng Shin Winter Studded Tires 28mm:

C755 80/100-21 300 Studs $199

C755 100/90-19 275 Studs $219
C755 110/90-19 275 Studs $219
C932 100/90-19 250 Studs $219
C6023 120/90-19 250 Studs $219

C755 460-18 250 Studs $219
C755 530-18 275 Studs $219
C932 530-18 275 Studs $219

Set Price $399

All tires are special order and take about 3-5 day for delivery. Figure on about $25 if you would like them shipped to you.

I also have 14 and 17 inch size in the Cheng Shin brand PM for pricing.

Winter Studded Tires!

Ok Pete, here is a question for you.
What sizes would fit, for some idiot who wants to put them on some OEM 1986 GSXR750 wheels?? 18" x 2.5 front, and 18 x 3.5 rear. I have these spares, a nice little lake down the road, and I had,,, wait,,, the idiot had the misfortune of seeing videos of some crazy Swedish dudes riding their gixxers on trails and lakes.

How would these tires hold up on ice only?

These are not Ice Racing tires. They are for Trails and MX only. You need about 3-4 inched of snow, or you will destroy the studs and tires, how ever I am on my 5th season and only now need a new rear Michelin. If you take care of them, they last for years. If you want tires for the ice, try here: Ice Race - Fredette Racing Products

Cool. thanks

I picked up a set of those Michelins last season. They kicked ass in the woods.
