Question

Is my shock rebuildable? Its stock 07 gsxr 1000. I'm looking to have my suspension revalved/sprung and just wondering If to do the shock, it can be rebuilt or I'm looking at buying a penske.

Probably can rebuild but not really worth it.

Re: Question

I already need a stiffer spring out back and the stock valving can barely dampen the current spring. I don't even have preload over manufacturers spec either. Is it not worth it to rebuild because the cost to buy new is about the same?

You would have to ask Pete about the costs I dont know much about that. I know the TTX isnt cheap. Its like 1500. The Penske is cheaper. Its an excellent alternative if you cant afford the Ohlins.

Yes it is rebuildable, but I don't recommend revalving for race or track applications. If you are going to attend track days or race it, I recommend we replace it with Ohlins, Elka or Penske. Options start at $770 and go up to $1500. Call me to discuss the details.
