Course I never dropped it while coming to a stop and there were other factors like my brake kept engaging mid turn, but no difference....

sorry if that seemed like i was being a bitch, but i guess if the shoe fits...
Everyone is entitled to there own point of view so I'm not worried about how you might of come across. I understand what you are saying. That if my bike is lowered no matter how good I can ride it its still not being used as it was designed therefore not living up to its full potential. correct?

However given that I haven't and don't really plan on taking it on the track the bike handles great. I can spin pretty tight 360's and take some really sharp turns at speed. NEVER has the height of the bike been an issue. I have less then 1/8th" chicken strips (i know this does not define a rider just an example) and never dragged any fairings or pegs so I would think that would disprove a lot of "your bike wont corner" theory's. Again just my 2c

Besides your a girl. What could you know anyway?

Re: How to lower my 2000 ninja ZX6???

I'm not tall either 5'6" and I have never been able to flat foot either.

Backing a bike up especially on an incline on a sandy driveway/road sucks ass. I usually have to get off and push too.

That being said, I haven't lowered my bikes... I just deal.

Like I said in my first post... try shaving the seat down. Just making it a little lower... and mostly narrower will probably help a lot.

Re: How to lower my 2000 ninja ZX6???

I must say one of the best things Ive learned from youtube is being able to spin my bike on its stand. I have been doing it for awhile with no ill effects yet. I no longer have to worry about being able to back my bike out of spots.

Re: How to lower my 2000 ninja ZX6???

it might handle OK lowered but not the way it should. my g/f called me and said "the bike feels weird" i asked what she meant and she said it was turning funny. i asked "does it carve like a knife or turn like a car?" she said car. put air in the tires. all was well. if you are used to riding something a certain way then you may not even know unless you change it back.

Re: How to lower my 2000 ninja ZX6???

i'd say avoid lowering it and learn to cope if you can. i'm 5'5" and have never had to lower any of my bikes.

shaving the seat down is a good idea.

if you still don't feel comfortable take it to a reputable shop to have it lowered. you can always unlower it later. don't screw around with your suspension too much if you don't know what you are doing. it can be dangerous

Re: How to lower my 2000 ninja ZX6???

ive got the 636 and its a little tall on me, im also 5'6. i can tiptoe on both feet. ive been told NOT to place the dog bones on there for performance reasons, and the only real
obstacle i have had to over come is backing up. but hey, your toes get tough real quick!

Did you drop the front end any? It'll help a LITTLE bit (not much), but it WILL quicken the steering response a lot which is nice
