I know every few months someone posts asking about any hill climb events, wells here's one coming up and registration is open:

Looks like a pretty cool event, racing the full mountain road 3.7 miles all paved. I'd love to enter it and get in a few runs but I doubt I can make it up for the hole weekend, maybe try for one day to check it out.
$160 to register/compete for the weekend, spectating is free and they are also looking for volunteers.
Yeah except they exclude most of us. Fuck that.

REQUIREMENTS
• Motorcycle- Only upright seating style motorcycles with full width handlebars are permitted.
Sportbikes and cruisers are not allowed. Engines may be two or four stroke, single or twin
cylinders. Other engine configurations are not permitted at this time. Exceptions will be made for
specific, vintage motorcycles provided they meet the technical inspector’s scrutinization. Any
questions regarding motorcycle eligibility should be directed to the motorcycle organizers for
approval prior to entering the event.

Is it just me or is it strange that they judge by handlebar type. An sv650n or my streetfighter can run but my S can't. I understand that they don't want a bunch of isle of Mann wannabe sportbikes out there but it seems like different rules would better suit them.
