There aren't any upload-specific settings on our end regarding Tapatalk, but I'll check in their docs to see if I can find anything about this.

Well there still aren't any relevant settings in the control panel and I've never been able to find anything in the supporting files that relate to file uploads. As far as I can tell, there's no option to disable or enable it.

so...flogging a dead horse again.

I've tried uploading through the tapatalk 2 app on in the iphone to this forum and it still throws the error message. With tapatalk doing the image hosting it still does the same thing. I then pulled the image address from a picture I posted on the zx6r.com forum (and uploaded directly from the app) and linked it with [img][/img] brackets like it does in app, and the picture pulled up fine. it looks like the actually block is somewhere on the server, not actually allowing the tapatalk app simply insert the image tag in the app itself. I can do it manually or otherwise, but automated through the app seems to be the breakdown.

that forum looks like its running on vBulletin 3.8.7 whereas we are on some version of vBulletin 4?

any thoughts?

All I know is that there really isn't anything to be configured on the plugin side and I've never been able to find any significant or helpful documentation that might help to address these issues. This forum is vBulletin 4.2.x and we are running the 4.x specific version of the Tapatalk plugin, and I always install plugin updates within a few days of them being released. In all the time we've been running the Tapatalk plugin, I've never seen a setting related to image uploads.

What the fucking fuck. There's no option anywhere to disable image sharing. I did find one setting on the tapatalk forum owner settings (on their site) where I could enable their hosted image service, which I just enabled, but I don't see how that could affect attachments on our server.

Ok it can take up to 24 hours for that setting to reach your app so try again tomorrow. If it still doesn't work, I'll dig some more. There's a tone of info about that error but no solutions.

WAP is the worst of the three options, IMO. I use Tapatalk now but I was happily using the mobile style built into vB for a while before that.
