I bought this at the end of 2010 from a forum member who used to race LRRS (Spyder). The bike showed 2291 miles on the odometer when I removed it in 2011. Since then, I have done 5 races and a few practices for a grand total of around 80 laps at LRRS. It is a solid running race bike that would be great for someone to get some more use out of it.

Stock steel fairing stay (S version)
Vortex clipons
R6 throttle tube
Stock calipers
Stock master cyliner
.90 fork springs
Yoshimura RS3 carbon can
Front/Rear rim with captive spacers/bearings. Has old rains mounted by rear got a puncture and is flat. I can remove it the flat tire for free if you'd like.
The battery is good and it starts up/runs great. I pull that battery and drain the water every winter; the battery has been kept on a tender all winter. I use distilled water in the cooling system so there is no rust/scale build up. Oil was just changed with conventional oil and has 0 miles/races on it. If you turn the key and thumb the starter, it fires right up with no issues. The tires on it are take offs that I got from Darkduc at the end of last season and would be good for practice or a track day.
This is a turn key machine, add new tires and a transponder and you're ready to race.
The previous owner crashed it in the 2010 season which caused the damage to the tank. It had a small electrical/running issue that I fixed after buying. The front spark plug had damaged threads on the top, causing a lost connection between the plug and the plug wire. I replaced the spark plugs shortly after buying it in 2011 and that fixed the issue. No other known issues have arisen or shown themselves with this bike.
I went down with it in round 1 of 2012. Cold tires in T1A caused me to lowside. The frame slider and rearset took the brunt of the damage. 30 minutes to replace both and I was back on the track with no problems. There was no other damage to the bike.
Bill of Sale only, no title so track only. Bike apparently never had a certificate of origin so a title was never issued. I ran the VIN prior to buying it and it is clean and clear. If you have any requests for specific pictures you'd like or a video of it starting/running, please ask and I'll get it up.

Once he figured out what gp shift was. He was leaving the pits in 6th. I don't know how he made it around the track![]()

I heard that story. Totally spaced on telling him it was GP shift. I can only imagine what he was thinking on those first two sessions in 6th gear after buying it.
"It bogs a lot"
That's what he was thinking.

"Why can't I find neutral? " was another thing he was thinking.

Yea at first I just thought it wasn't going into 1st gear and that I was going around in 2nd and even if that was true it still felt boggy on turn 4. I kept asking other people what they thought and then finally I think it was Chip or Keith realized it was gp shift lol!
