Beautiful bike! Can you retrofit the 2004+ one piece seat and rear grab handle? It looks like it would be more comfortable for two up. The FZ6 is a similar bike, but has much better passenger accommodations. Maybe, you could trade with one of the people selling those on the board...

Food for thought since it looks like you've been trying to sell it for almost a year? KBB says the bike is worth $2800 in excellent condition. If I were you, I'd convert the bike back to stock as much as you can, lower the price to something closer to KBB value. Then just sell the aftermarket parts piece by piece. Just friendly advise.

Actually for a clean F4i its real close to a good price...3800-3900 would be a good deal. I sold mine for 4K and it was mint as his is....too

4K for a 2002 F4i? I had a 1999 CBR 600 F4 back in 2005. Bought it back then for 4K. Never would have thought a 2002 would still pull 4K in 2014...... Anyways, done hijacking original topic.

In the Boston area, an F4i in this condition without the banana seat is $4k territory. They're comfier than an RR, fuel injected (hence the big value jump over the F4), and it can be tough to find one that isn't beat to shit / stunted / etc. That said, if Kaz lowered the price to $3900 it'd be a lot more likely to go by next Monday.

Just to sum this up, this is probably the best condition f4i you will see. I babied this thing and so did the prior owner. Same year f4i's in fair condition are going for over $3k. You get what you pay for. This bike is mint.

It belongs in a good home and at a fair price. $4.2k is the asking price.
