4/24/14 Thursday open test

Great news.

Got off the phone with Wanda today. We are doing an open test the Thursday before the first round of lrrs. Come on out and get the cobwebs off. You guys know the deal. $150 for a full day (9-5); $100 for half day (1-5). Best use of your track money in my opinion. Great way to dial in your bike and sort it out before the first race weekend, too.

You must be a licenced racer to attend. $10 gate fee to get in. Usual camping fees if you come up the night before.

Yeah, just racing the KTM. It should be ready, I might skip the weekend if the weather is shit.

Really surprised not more people are signing up.

If the track doesn't get enough people to go, they just won't have the test. They have to at least break even. I know everyone is watching the weather. Let's assume the weather is going to be good. We are getting a bunch of rain this week and 50-60 degrees, so the snow should be gone.

I'm not going to submit my list to Wanda until the weekend before, so if you are planning on going, but aren't sure, put your name on. You can always pull it beofe I submit the list if the weather looks bad or your bike isn't ready.

I think people just don't see a reason to "commit" to doing an event that is billed as "no advanced sign-up, just show up the day of and sign up."

Who told you they wouldn't run the open test if they don't have enough riders committed to doing it?

Tommy has told me that they have to make a certain amount per day, even at a test day. Otherwise they just won't run it.

It's not a big deal, I just wanted to make sure enough people go that they continue to do them. Shit, it's one of the best deals for track time at nhms. The list is just too help give Wanda a heads up of how many might go.
