Not sure.

I'll be there & I'll be happy to work w/ people, however it's gonna be a bare-bones event.

About New Jersey... I'm sure Ken will chime in but
since it'll be a new track to all of us I don't think there
will be specific instruction about the track and its reference points.

But I'm sure there will be some follow the leader type of thing though
just to have some order to the beginning of the day.

Re: Pete's 15-16 Thoughts: The Rewarding Red Group

As for the NJ day, we are discouraging new trackday riders from attending.

Until we have the complete program (like we do at New Hampshire), we don't feel new riders will get the right experience for their first time.

There will be a follow the leader session to show everyone the line, but that's about it. No classroom. No lunch. Maybe even no gatorade bins? We just don't know for sure about all the details yet.

For 2009, our dates in NJ will be "normal" events with full instruction.

I have done one TD but my brother-in-law (yellow) has done 3-4 now and is ready to go to check that track. I would like to as well and I may try to get to NH one more time prior to NJ. Not sure how you will be splitting the groups tho if at all. thoughts?

Groups will be split by the group that you would ride at New Hampshire.

In other words, we don't want BLUE riders stepping down to Yellow or Red because they don't know the track.

Basically... NO ONE will know the track, so we want people to start with their usual peers and everyone will learn the track together throughout the day.

This will keep similar skill levels together.

Ok great that is what I thought would be going on. I just wanted to make sure that you were not discouraging the people in the red group from attending.

Oh no... definitely having 3 groups.

We just don't want brand new track riders showing up ... and have them feel lost.

Most new track riders tell us that our normal program really eased their fears about track riding... so we want to make sure that is the first intro to track riding.
