Southern VT here :)

Hey everyone, I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am new to the area and looking forward to a full season of riding on all of these awesome roads. I would love to meet some new riders.

I just got an 07 6r Kawi, the bike is awesome but it has 2 miles on it and both were from the tech that inspected it. I am very motivated for spring. I am also a track day junkie and ride off road on a 250f Yamaha. Hit me up or PM me of you are local. Or not, I need an excuse to ride

Southern VT huh? Sounds like Doc and highsider are going to be meeting us at your place for all the rides this summer. Sounds like you'll fit in nice around here. There are a lot of us that ride dirt, street and track and there will be plenty of ride time. Also, tony runs the best trackdays around here, see the banner and link in my signature below.

Damn that's so awesome, I didn't know anyone around here did that! Is it broken up into classes/experience? I don't have any track experience, but I would love to give it a shot. The bit about the insurance is what worries me, does anyone have an experience with wrecks at track days like this? I don't know how kindly Commerce would look at this....

IF you wreck at a trackday you just tell em you wrecked on the street.

There is no need to lie. The trackday is not a timed event so it is covered by insurance. i believe tony has a writeup pertaining to it on his website. He is running a number of specials and has a forum on this site if you want to ask questions.

QUESTION: Will my bike insurance cover my bike if I crash?

ANSWER: In general, yes. The key element that lets them cover you is that our track days are NOT competitive and NO TIMING is allowed. Therefore, it is considered more like rider training. In the past, just directing your insurance company to this website has been enough to prove your case. Ultimately, however... this is between you and your insurance company. The key is to make them understand that controlled track days like ours are going to improve safety and lower claims by putting more qualified riders on the road.

Hey everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to meeting some new riding friends.

Jeff I am really glad you like the bike. Well, how could you not, the thing is a real ripper. I would really be missing it if not for the black gem in my garage.

Here is my attempt at posting a pic...

Hey SMF, I tried to PM you but I am too much of a newb (

Nice plug there, do you work for Penguin?? I have always followed the LRRS as it has been the only racing up there for a long time.

I think the Penguin school rocks, I learned so much about the track. The two day is great.

I may know you - I know a few people here and also some that race the LRRS. Dunno.
