New guy from NHHi All, I started riding about a year ago when I bought my Ninja 250. Despite some advice I read that I will outgrow it in a few months, I'm still happy with it almost 5000 miles later! Now, too really have some fun, I signed up for Tony's Track Day on May 23rd. I hope some of you can give me tips on how not to be the slowest guy on the track! Looking forward to meeting some of you at the track. Roland |

New guy from NHheyyyy I'm in my 3rd year on my GS500. Funny thing is: you'll probably be passing a lotta people at the trackday. moving up to somethign bigger always crosses my mind, but the GS will make such a great track beater & track learning bike that I'll keep it forever. Dont move up until you can afford TWO bikes! ![]() |

New guy from NHHey mzdagrl, I'll keep an eye on the rides thread and hopefully join some of you. SVRACER, I actually work in Durham, but tend to commute on 125 and a few back roads. (Some of them are fun on the bike! Makes going to work less painful!) So if we don't meet on the streets around Dover, we might meet in Loudon if I start hanging out there after getting my first taste of the track next week.. Speaking of Dover, an interesting story is that 3 of my friends who live in Dover started riding in the last year... and we all decided to do this independently! Freaky! l3uddha, I'm probably going to wait a few years before upgrading. It was easy to justify the 250 to the wife, especially when I showed her the calculations that it will pay itself off in a couple of years just in gas savings if I commute to work with it when feasible. Besides, the challenge of mastering a 250 is quite appealing. A colleague of mine races RS125s in Canada, and keeps on reminding me that it's how you use it that counts, not size! |
