Hey all.
So, I did it, said I never would.... moved here from UK 10 years ago saw the state of the roads and drivers so went and bought a dirtbike! well, after 4 years of self wrangling I bought a Black Z1000 for this year.
I am from just north of Worcester, hoping to do some track days etc this year, not much time for weekly rides etc but would be good to meet some other middleaged streetbike riders from around here.

So you are moving from dirt to a Z1000 ... that is one mean nasty sumbitch of a bike to get back on the street.

Wish you luck. I did not say this to doubt your competence as a rider, just that there are some other excellent choices out there.
