cool forum here

I've been lurking for a couple weeks and decided to say hello.I've been riding now for more than 25 years.I'm almost 43 yo. I've been into sportbike type bikes since 1999. I have a '75 R90 BMW, a '99 Buell X1, a '00 Ducati 996, and an '05 Buell XB12r. The Ducati is currently getting BST wheels/w Ceramic rotors, head porting/w bigger cams, and 13:1 pistons.I'm only waiting for the pistons to perform assembly.Did i mention i do all of my wrenching?

Hey! You guys' have Pete Kates here too! He rocks! And adds a lot to your forum. He's done fork work and frame straightening for me.A great guy.

Hi from Bristol Rhode Island ,

Lots of local riders. At least local as in Mass/Conn/RI/NH/VT areas.I've ridden some cool twisties near Durham,NH.I ride with another forum called NEBO or New England Buell Owners. We typically meet Sundays' in Bellingham for beakfast then a ride. We're pretty stuck on northeast Connecticut where we have found the twistiest roads around our region. We've also been to Deals Gap,Tennesee and next weekend we're going to Bear Mountain New York for some other great twisties.I post also at Speedzilla/Ducati forums and ATC (American Thunderbike Club).

I look forward to riding with some of the posters here.My wife rides too. She's been riding since 2000.She primarily rides the Buell XB12r which i bought.............for her.The Buells' get knocked for lack of HP,they make up with torque, lightweight, and very short wheelbase nimbleness.I consider myself a Buell guy.My 996 Ducati is ok,gobs of power and engineering but, only likes the most sporting of paces.Buells' do it all.Sure they top out at 140 but hey.....it's all about the tightest twisties, right? Getting out on 495 and doing 160 isn't my bag. That gets boring, unless i'm trying to get to a destination quickly.

We may do some organised ride tomorrow leaving Raynham for New Bedford to recognise a fallen firefighter. Not big on those types of rides tho

Not so much on badweather, I found some info over the last couple years but rarely post. Its a fun bike at the stoplights, not so much on long rides (real ass burner in hot weather -)
