What up people!

I just wanted to say hi. I've been lurking here for awhile and I think the forum is great! I see alot of familar people on here and I wanted to join in the fun. I race in LRRS on a Buell ( but changing rides for next season) and I also opened a shop in Bloomfield Ct. So I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and BSing with the people I know!

Hey Rob, I also ride a Buell in LRRS. I just started, and I pretty much suck right now. I am looking to spend some more time getting used to the track and getting myself in reasonable shape. What are you switching to?

I am on a 2000 M2. I like it alot, but I am running into lean angle clearance issues. The rear sets for it are spaced too wide and I am hitting peg way too easily. Since I don't think there is anything I can do to fix that on the bike, I have to work on getting lower while hanging off. I am Novice #205.

Robert Johnson was building a super single out of a S1 last year. He had it displayed at the awards banquet. I don't know if he ran it yet. I was running the Buell display right across from them.

I was just talking to another guy today about the XR1200. That could easily replace the XL1200R, and I think that we would be able to sell a shit load of them.

Yeah the tube framed Buells are really hard to go fast on!

I actually sold the johnson's the bike they were running up there. I think robert gave up on the tuber super single and he was talkin about doing one in an xb chassis. I know he sold his xb also.

what were you displaying at the banquet?

Just a stock Firebolt and some Buell product info. This year I plan to jazz up the display a bit more.

I haven't talked to him since this summer. I imagine he might be looking to run an 1125R for the up coming year. The price he was asking for his XB was pretty good. If I had the money I would have snatched it up. Instead, I am trying to talk our GM into giving up the 04 demo for my track bike.

Sheldon's HD & Buell in Auburn, MA. I've been here for a little over a year. I normally post on Badweb, but I have been lurking over here lately.

Either there are 2 guys at Sheldons that know what/where Loudon is. (the guy I talked to had a bike on the back of his truck and was doing a track day the following day) Or I talked to you this past summer about Buells. I was just riding threw that neighborhood and needed to kill a bit of time, or other wise wouldn't waste my time in a HD dealership

That was me. That was the day before I did the 2 day Penguin school. Man it got cold for mid June. Feel free to waste some time here any day. Maybe I can get you running an Ultra Classic in the Very Heavyweight Superbike class this year

eboos, if i remember right Sheldon's used to be into racing. i know they used to do alot of flat track stuff. They should know the value of racing for Buell sales. Keep pushing your GM or the owner to put you on a new bike. when I was at Gengras, Buell riders were bringing their bikes to us from as far away as Long Island,New Jersey and New Hampshire just becuase they knew i raced!!

what worked for me at gengras was putting together a proposal package and sitting down with the owner. Also I was racing a honda at the time and he didn't want someone repping his shop riding a product they didn't sell.

what do you do for them at Sheldon's ? Do you guys have an 1125r yet?

We are expecting a couple any day now. Sheldon's is still involved with flat track and drag racing. I do want to push them to get into road racing. I handle all Buell things here, and I am trying to do everything possible to build things up.
