Hi new to nesr ,but not to riding,I ride Ducati 916 on the street.I just bought 749 for the track I want to do some track days and i want to go racing this year ,I was hoping someone can help out where to start,I've wanted to race for years just keep putting it off.So anyone that can lead me in the right direction,where to start and how.Thanks

Welcome aboard. Lots of racers here and folks way more knowledgable than me. If you have never done a track day I suggest you get a few of those under your belt. In fact, you might consider doing as many as you can this season and then plan on racing next season. Once you have gotten some experience on the track you want to sign up for the Penguin Race School at NHMS. The Oldest Motorcycle Roadracing School in the Country! - Penguin Roadracing School

Come on down! I applaud your wanting to get on the track. MUCH safer than riding "dirty" on the street.

My first year racing was last year, Had a few Trackdays before that. It is a great time! (expensive but hey you have 2 Ducati's)

These guys (and gals) and everyone at the track are very helpful. I couldn't have done it without them.

Look us up just as you come out of the tunnel most of the people you see as you come out are people from NESR. I pit on your left as you come out.

Oxx's school bus is a dead give away for the NESRians. The only reason it isn't a short bus is that there are too many of us!

Welcome to the site and great to hear some track interest. I recommend, as a non-racer, coming to the track and hanging out, possibly even cornerworking. It is a great way to get to know the track in a whole different way, and talk to the people who are up close and personal with crashes (and maybe learn second-hand how to avoid them). Hope to see you in T1 in April!
