The Kanc is over rated. Hurricane Mountain Road on the other hand, now that's a blast!

What? Kanc overrated? How can zipping thru mountain roads at 80-100+, while weaving in and out of cars, dodgeing bicycles and tourists, getting flipped off by cagers who you blast by, and a beautiful mountain scenery get old?

Hurricane Mtn Rd is def. a blast. Just wish it was longer.

Re: Hi everyone!

I just did the Kanc and Hurricane Mountain Rd on Memorial Day. It was busy, but very fun except for that tank slapper I avoided about halfway through the Kanc....very scary! Definitely saw an 07 GSXR 750 get air on the way up Hurricane. Craziness!

So two Gorham riders huh? When are we going out to ride? My bike is not running right (think I got some bad gas....allow the jokes to start) so hopefully it will be back soon. It is idling really low and stalls when I stop, but is fine at regular speed. Any other thoughts?

Hey KillBill...what brought you to New England?

I'd try turning the idle up a bit. My R1 did this when I first got it, did the trick. GL

A bunch of us are riding this Saturday. Not sure but I think we might go towards NH. Damn I love these smilies you guys have. lol

Well, I was 3 years old so didn't have much hand in the decision
Lived in upstate NY after that.

Re: Hi everyone!

Welcome!
Hurrican Mtn Rd is definitely a blast. I remember hanging off my bike taking a sharp right and catching air during the turn, landing, and then finishing the turn. Unbelievable!

At least 1 of them is in New Mexico enjoying a Tex Mex diet rich in green chilis so we'll give her some street cred' for that.
