New from Boston


Hi, I was recommended by some guys on Newbury street this Thursday night.
I bought my first bike about a month ago, an '06 CBR 600 F4i

you took off early tonight.

I was the one with the sign on the back of the bike with the LEDs on.

Yeah, I didn't want to risk it with no rear blinkers or license plate light. also riding with a permit until I go to the RMV, pay the fees and turn in my MSF certificate.

Aw man, shoulda pre-paid for that when ya got your permit, they woulda mailed your license to ya & ya woulda been golden.

Question for the MSF Instructors: If you have a valid permit & your MSF course completion card, is that "good enough" as a license if you get pulled over at night or with a passenger?

officially, nay. says right on the card that it's not good for anything but proof you completed the MSF course.

whether a cop will give you a hard time or not, who knows. i gambled on that one but never needed to find out. i think it's probably a decent argument if it ever gets to a courtroom...
