hey guys, ive lurked here a bit here and there, i figured it was time i signed up.

i took the msf course last april/june, (passed perfectly on written and practical! :tootingownhorn so i got a 1985 gs550 and put about 6000miles on it last year, stepped up this year to a 1992 ninja 1100 and so far i love it. it will be getting fork seals and a clean fender soon, already has a corbin seat, and ill likely get some genmar bar risers for it before long. otherwise, i cant wait to get some real miles on this one!

ill definitely be riding a bunch this year, and surely with some of you guys.

would have ridden to work this morning, but i replaced the forks on my bike last night with a set from a newer model, and the axle is different. hopefully sky cycle salvage has one i can pick up today so im not down for too long, fortunately if they dont, there is a couple on ebay in nh and me, so the shipping should only be a couple days.

Pick up fork seals and download the manual for your bike, we'll swap them. Depending on milage you may want to get sliders/bushings too.

Fork oil can be had locally from Cycle Design or from Andy at Powerhouse Performance in Gardner.

Most of all, hurry the F up, we just finished Rob's bike last week and will be riding this weekend.

damn you! im wheeling with heath on saturday and sunday ive got dinner with the parents for easter. we'll ride soon, and ill be buying rebuild parts for the forks soon, theyve got 30k on them, would it be prudent to pull them apart and see if parts need replacing before you help me with them?

SM Motorcycle School in Gardner has mentioned setting up a cafe to host just such a night each week. Like a MotoMarket for people who don't have time to ride 1.5 hours to get there.

Asa, pull them apart first, but be wary, fully adjustable suspension has lots of things inside. I'd consider sending them out to PK for a rebuild. If you don't do springs and valving, it won't be too bad $$ wise.

Saturday I'm fairly free during the day. Sunday is Easter, have to go to the in-laws. Next weekend I'm in Florida for a damn wedding.

my new axle doesnt fit in the wheel im down until i fix the c model forks. are factory seals the best thing? ill order some on monday, ill let you know when they come in. do you have the tool for them? is it just a seal driver?

My labor rate of "free" includes not the correct tools. I've managed so far. Just did a set of fork seals for Rob last week.
