Feature Poll : thanks vs. likes

The new forum has a likes system built in. Try it out and vote (the like link is at the bottom/right of each post, thanks is at the bottom/left) I will keep the thanks option if it's wanted but I would rather go with native features (likes) over third party plugins (thanks).

If we switch, all previous thanks would be lost.

Multiple selections allowed on the poll so we can still vote for Bemused and Beet.

It's semantics, really. Likes, thanks, in this context they're pretty much the same to me.

I meant to mention that there's really no way to port over existing thanks to the new system if we were to change over.

Very little difference at all. Likes are part of the forum product, thanks are a third-party add-on. I like the integration of the likes better, the way they display, etc.

Likes, cause it doesn't fucking matter and it's easier for you guys. The only thing I care about is a dislike button. Hopefully with a ratio that if it drops below the post gets buried.

why not keep both?
likes are more likely to be used, but sometimes you do want to thank someone for their input..

i'm very confused by the simultaneous thanking and liking going on here..
