Hey all, My name is Chris. I'm in Melrose, MA. Basically I found ya'll from a sale "schleppy" had posted on his sweet SV650. I am pretty much despritly looking for one. Those things sell FAST! I had done a google search and this forum popped up, among many others! Over all though your site felt like a great place to meet and talk to riders in the area.
I am a relatively new rider. I bought a 2004 Suzuki GS-500F last year. I had a blast on that thing! Rode it everywhere, even took a trip down to the cape for camping, and a trip up to the Kangamangus on it! Overall I had a blast! But sadly one morning riding it to work in late October I slipped on Black Ice and crashed it!
For many reasons I was trying not justify why I shouldn't get another bike this year, but I just can't hold my excitement over the the feeling I get riding so here I am!
I can't wait to get out and ride again! and I hope to learn a lot here. I still have so many newbie questions from last year haha!
Welcome!

My one and only street crash was on black ice... my first day riding on the street... 1/4 of a mile from my house.
So get another bike... take some training courses... and enjoy the ride!
Welcome!

WoW! Is that so? Why does Melrose suck so bad? Granted there is nothing awesome about it, I wouldn't go as far to say it sucked though.

HA! Awe... don't remind me. I miss Sweet Stuff soo... much! And yes the police pretty much will give you crap for just about anything! They also love handing out stupid parking tickets.
I've just never had so many people comment on how much they disliked melrose all at once it was an interesting welcome for the forum.
Where's Jerry Jingles???How long ago was that huh?

So a reason melrose sucks: I went out to grab a drink with a friend of mine that was home from california, so we went to a restaurant/bar on Main st. Apparently since melrose is a dry town, the only way they're allowed to serve booze is cause its a restaurant, and theres actually a law that says you cant have more than 1 drink without ordering food. Fucking commies, Im not hungry and I want a couple beers.
