    word, I do suggest getting an older beater bike for your first season. If you drop it, who cares? It just a piece of crap anyway!! And it will be ridiculously cheap if you get an older bike- my first bike cost $800, don't need to sign any papers on that.

    yeah i am going to go with a used bike but I don't know much about bikes at all to know whats good and whats not. I guess I am going to have to find a guy to help me out getting one that is decent enough. I don't want someone trying to screw me over and sell me a piece of crap.

    Well with all the bullshit that comes from the members of NESR, there are some good things too. Im sure someone on here will gladly help you out in finding you a decent bike. There are plenty people from up your neck of the woods that would probably take a look at a bike with you, and let you know if its worth your money or not.

    that's not true at all...I don't have a problem with other female riders at all. I tend to get along better with guys then I do girls though. I have like three friends that are girls and the rest are guys
