    Need a Good Auto Mechanic

Anyone recommend a decent auto shop in the Lowell area? Gettin sick of being fucked over.....ideally a shop that's trustworthy and that doesn't have a bunch of high school kids doing (read: fucking up) smaller jobs.

John at Paul's Auto in Fitchburg is good. Won't screw you over.

John Doyle at J.D. Auto on 110 in Chelmsford has been more than fair to me the past several years I've dealt with him. My wife has used him for almost 20 years.
He's halfway between Westford 4 corners and Chelmsford Center.
    Good Luck.

I strongly recommend Clark's Car Care in Hudson on NH 102 just north of the Hudson Speedway. 503-886-0899. Highly professional, very fair and excellent at diagnosing and fixing the problem right the first time.

I have used them for years.

Come up Mammoth Road and head W on 102. If you get to the White Hen in Hudson/Litchfield you have gone too far.

Lionel's on C Street in Nashua, NH.

They know their shit and are very fair. I recently did a write up because I was so impressed with their service.

My neighbor runs a shop out of his garage. Great mechanic and fair prices.

I am in Dracut on the methuen line.

    PM me for the details

Thanks for the help....though I think I'm gonna try and reset my check engine light right before I go for inspection and pray for the best. It's an emissions problem (no, not the gas cap), so I may get lucky.

Just be aware that if one of the sensors on the OBDII system is not responding, it will still fail even if the light ain't on.

Fuck it, JB weld + some tin foil = no more evap leak.

I thought I'd be good for the inspection.....but no, the guys window tint meter read one of my windows at 32% and the other at 35%. Refused to give me a sticker even tough I've had the same tint for the past....5 years now.

Don't they track your inspection pass/fail history in the State's database?

I dunno, but I never gave him my registration so I doubt he recorded anything.
