Follow up the good with the bad (need paintless dent repair)

It never fails, EVERY time something good happens, it;s followed up with something bad.

    The good:

I picked up my repaired bike from PK yesterday and it looks and rides better than when I bought it in '06.

    The bad:

For almst 3 years, Annalisa and I have been driving cars and SUVs in and out of my garage and today happens to be the day where a small spade shovel decided to come off its hook and puts a nice dinger in the area right above the front passenger's window.

I haven't even had this car a month and I already have a decent sized ding in it and in an area that's a bitch to fix.

Anyone know anybody that does paintless dent repair? Here's a pic of the dent:

I can get a name for a guy in I think Charlton who does ding repair for something like $100/body panel. He did work on my girlfriend's dad's car and it came out great. I'll post it up sometime tonight.

Tell me about it. But, I guess it could have been worse. The shovel could have dragged along the entire window and door. The only damage was the little dent. It's noticeable only to me, unless I point it out.

Its always the brand new car or truck that seems to a nicks and dings in it. Its never that piece of shit you've owned for 10+ years that anything happens too.
That sucks bro. The first is always the most painful.

In that video, that dent was in plastic, I don't think that would work on a metal roof.
The dent is too small for those suction cup things. I found a bunch of You Tube videos showing how they work so-so on larger dents, but the one I have it less than 3/4" in diameter.

Thanks for the info guys. Hellion, PM me the info, or give the guy free advertising and post up his shop info.

I called a place in Worcester yesterday, that does paintless repair and he was talking about drilling and plugging. WTF??? He said drill and put in a plug. No thank you!

It's in a really odd place, as the other side of the metal is under the fabric on the upper part of the door.

I had someone back into my car and crumple the trunk

    Sorry man.

I may be a bit naive but, I would think that if you're drilling holes in body panels to pull dents... then it can no longer be called "paintless" dent repair...

My thoughts exactly. I'm not drilling a car that's only a month old.

If you can get good group rates for dent removal (which I think you can), I have a dent in my truck I'd like removed. It's in an easy spot too.

I wish mine were in an easy spot. I tried the heat/cool method (that's the hair dryer/compressed air can method) and it didn't work. The ding is too small for that method.

Count me in as I think they offer the dealer discount (which I believe is probably 20-30%) to auto clubs and the like.

Turns out I'm in the market for this service. My SV650 got knocked over in the storage facility and put a thumb-sized dent in the tank. Nothing like paying to have a bike fixed that you are selling.

I've used Dent Wizard in Danvers in the past, have to go see if they are still there as the website only list dealers. The Ding Dent Done is in Arlington.

go with BOSTON DENT PRO. check out youtube also on him. I have used a few in the last 23yrs driving and he is by far the best i have ever known, and very reasonable. The last 3 i had on the wifes car i went to dent wizard in danvers and they wanted 700.00, another said you should just paint the door/fender. This guy at boston dent pro wanted pics and quoted me an exact price which was half all others. one and half hrs later car was done and looked great.

Do you normally have to take the tank off a bike? Empty it if it's on the bike? The dent is near the top of the tank, which is pretty full right now. No big deal if I had to remove it.
