Imagine letting down blind with those granitocumulous clouds everywhere. Ouch
The motorcycling is epic I hear

Something like the craziest aspect ratio lake depth to lake width in the world, thanks to those mountains.

Unfortunately I don't know how the motorcycling is either. 3 nights there last year and I was either tooling around in a rental Camry or one of those enormous tour busses.

But the roads sure looked epic. When we flew into Queenstown our flight approached from the other direction. I could see a pair of 'Rovers doing some bad-ass looking Rover-ey things on the side of one of the mountains.
