Question help me find a rolling toolbox

the wheels on my 4 drawer 27" craftsman are breaking. they're riveted it, and not really worth replacing.
needs to be 27" to fit in my trailer. i need a handle also.

top drawer needs to be 3 1/2"
above bottom needs to be around 5.75"
    bottom needs to be 9"

prefer black. dont care if it's 4 or 5 drawers.

this stays outside in the pits, so please dont post a SnapOn or something crazy expensive that will get destroyed.

i've been looking at Craftsman, Husky, and US General, but cant seem to find something that fits my requirements.

this is essentially what i'm looking for. for some reason, the black version doesnt seem to have a side handle on it.
i have a 27" craftsman top that i put on top of the roller.

they're riveted to the box. i'm not saying it's not worth it, but it could be a major PITA

I built a little frame out of angle steel because my craftsman box wheels were trash. Pulled the OEM wheels and made the frame so the box can be dropped right in.

Nothing special just some dirty welds and steel from Homedepot.

Assuming you already have a way of cutting off the old ones with a grinder/cutoff wheel and a high speed drill bit to make more holes, you'll be able to replace wheels for the life of the box.

yes, but you're talking a $50 tool and four caster wheels at $85 on amazon. to save a toolbox that cost me $100 used 5-6 years ago, and might go for $200 new.

So long as we're shopping Hazard Fraught, drop $28 on this instead:

    https://www.harborfreight.com/home/m...lly-56782.html

They also sell casters, at similar pricing to the above ebay link

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

Re: help me find a rolling toolbox

so i emptied the tool box last night and flipped it over to see what i'm actually working with...and they were bolted.

bought some 4" casters last night at Ace Hardware, but they're smaller and thinner than what came on the box.
the box had 2 locking spinners and 2 fixed wheels. i went with 4 spinning lock casters.

loaded up the box and it fell over. so now i'm debating on returning the wheels and looking for taller & wider ones that match the OEM, going with 2 fixed wheels, or keeping it as is and making sure the front wheels are always pointing towards the front.

    Usually next day delivery:

And yeah, having two fixed works better IME (2 cents)

I will be posting up a Craftsman here soon. A bottom unit. I can even fill it with tools. It is pretty much the same as you posted in post 2 here.
