Anybody with a truck and trailer want to make some money?

So, I sold my skidsteer to a guy who lives in RI. I said in the ebay ad that I would deliver it up to 300 miles from Burlington, VT; the town this guy lives in is 299.3 miles from here (goddam it!! ). He is paying me $450 to deliver it; anybody on here have a truck and trailer, and want to deliver a 4,000lb. piece of equipment from Burlington, VT to some little pissant town in RI? I might even be able to kick in another $50, making the total $500.

Seriously, my truck is rated for 6500...I already got the receiver for a big hitch and the standard 4 pin plug, just need a trailer with integrated auto brakes and a ball/ball tounge.

My dinky little truck would just take it a little slower than a big honkin truck. Let me know.

go to uhaul and get the car carrier. it has the hydraulic brakes built in (impulse brakes i think they are called), 2" ball hitch and the standard 4 pin plug ... $50 a day i think. i used it for towing my jeep and a couple other cars. works good.

that poor little taco isn't gonna like that load too much

The problem with towing it with a Toyota would not be pulling it, but stopping it, and keeping it from pitching you into the pucker-brush whilst heading downhill on the interstate; the truck would likely weight about the same as the trailer and the skidsteer.

You could maybe do it if you went very slow, and had a trailer with excellent brakes, which I dont have to loan to you - my equipment trailer is a POS.

If Suf Daddy can pull one of those things with a truck with a broken frame, then pulling one with a yota should be no problem at all

Well, the offer stands. I'm gunna be headin up there anyways to grab that bike of Nikon's if everything is lookin good for it, so I figured I may as well try to pay a few bills while I was makin the run.

I hope you dont think I'm knocking your truck, but I dont have a very good equipment trailer (i.e., the brakes dont work and the tires are bald), and I'd hate to see someone get hurt. I've towed this rig with my Ford Superduty Diesel, which weighs about 7,000lbs, and been scared before.
