Need Ideas for an Anniversary Get-Away

Okay, all: Big anniversary is coming up- number 25.

Wife wants to go to a spa-type place to get pampered. (Yeah, we'd be going together, so Daytona is out....)

Got any recommendations that aren't more than an hour or two from the Noth Shoah?

This place is very cool, sounds like a fit for what you're looking for. I've been here a few times and you can drive the Rye Beach road as well as head into Portsmouth, NH easily. You (and more importantly she) won't be disappointed.

Norwich Inn and Spa Norwich, CT affiliated with Pequot Casino

some actual celebrities go there been around decades

and Mohegan Casino itself or the Spa in Old Saybrook, CT

This is all BS compared to a 3 day trip to the Big Apple NYC sights shows shopping etgc.

Bermuda is only a couple of hours by plane and would beat the hell out of anywhere that you can drive to in that time.

Must be something down in Newport, Rhode Island that would fit the bill.

I took my wife to The Inn By the Sea in Cape Elizabeth ME. It's a very nice hotel with the whole spa thing going on. Our room had a gas fireplace and an ocean view. The hotel restaurant had great food too.

And, going back next weekend for our (gasp) 5 year anniversary.

depending on when you are planning on going, check the deal sites like Travalzoo and whatnot, we found the inn at mills falls (same place we got married) with a deal for our anniversary weekend for a king size bed with sleeper sofa, fireplace, balcony overlooking the lake, ect... for $159/night and comes with a couple $25 spa certificates (obviously that is only s discount), and 2 for 1 rates at the restaurants... Excellent place and who says that you can't go somewhere nice and save a bit of coin at the same time?

Newport with a bed and breakfast and do a Mansion tour, eat fried clams, etc.
Fun town night life too.
