Pool halls in Boston/metro Boston?

Anybody here play pool and have a recommendation a good pool hall with reasonable rates? Only place I know in Boston with 9 ft tables is Jillians (I know Kings has a few tables but I've never checked them out) and I'm not a huge fan of the place. Also, both these places aren't what I'd consider a legitimate pool hall.

I was never a big pool player so I can't help you that much. I've played at Kings in Dedham recently and Jillians was always fun when I was younger. Check this list.

Tks for the list. It's out of date as I know at least one of those has closed.

Forgot I've also played at flat top Johnny's. My issue with the pool halls I've been to are they tend to be more about socializing. Which is great if you're interested in catching up with a friend, but I just want to play without all the extra noise around me.

Big City in Allston, I went to a few events there back in the day. I dont remember it too well, but it was definitely more of a social atmosphere.

Anybody ever see "The Hustler" with Paul Newman? Now those were pool halls. But I get why it's coupled with a bar, and sports tv and bowling... Pool is not a big money maker.

I went through this same struggle, pool doesn't seem popular around here!

I'm a huge billiards nut - I found a great place with 20 tables in Quincy that's cheap, cheap cheap! Clean tables, new felt, 9ft.
