    Pool Pump above ground

    This is 1st year

    Pump and sand filter are drained but still outside next to pump.

    Obviously they would be better off in the warm dry basement but;

    The base of this thing is a flimsy pc of plastic tying the pump and "heavy" sand filled filter. I am sure it would break apart if I tried to move it.

    There is a chance the filter is just resting not attached to the base if so I could easily hand truck it and the pump base separately. Are they usually really 2 pieces ?

    or

    Leave it outside maybe with a tarp ties securely around it ?

    thanks

    pump and filter should be two separate units. drain everything, dry it out and bring it inside. they are expensive to replace! its the 2nd thing that sucks about having a pool besides opening it in the spring. covering mine this weekend as well.

    I have thorougly drained and covered my pump and sand filter for two winters with no problems during setup in either of the 2 spring seasons.

    It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    No seems to all be attached to plastic base rocked and lifted but no go

    pumpbase bolted but to blind nut from underneath

    Well I will wait till its been dry for 2-3 days and cocoon it all in a tarp

    Right wing websites recommend it being coated with the babies of immigrants
    however they are too hard to clean
