    ebay.com directing to google?

    I typed ebay.com on my browser and it took me to google! Can you guys try it?

    You must have had a problem with your local dns server, it tried to look up ebay.com com, didn't get a response and assumed you must have typo'd, hence sending you to google.

    I think that was it. Now working fine. Howeve, then I wanted to get back to NESR, and when I typed the site name, it too took me to google. I think instead 0f "server time out" or "page not found" now they direct you to google! Nice move google! First time I discovered this.

    That behavior is dependent on your browser. Normally server time outs or page not found errors will not be, and shouldn't be redirected away. DNS failures on the other hand are valid grounds for a redirect to a search engine.
