    Subaru to Saab wheel question

Any one know how if wheels from a 2002ish Saab will bolt onto my Subaru Outback.
How close does bolt pattern have to be?
    Sub is 5/100 Saab 5/110 i think.

    How about offset?

    Any help would be great!

You can find specs/offset for your suby here:

I was looking for some winter rims for my 09 Impreza, ending up getting black steel rims from tirerack.com.

Lugs need to be the exact same pattern so u need a 5x100 wheel. . . most subaru wheels i know of are that lug combo

Re: Subaru to Saab wheel question

You need to have the correct bolt pattern, offset, and center bore, since most modern cars are "hub-centric."

The center bore on that vintage SAAB is 65.1. The bolt pattern is 110mm. Couldn't find the offset.

I believe the center bore on most Subarus is 56.1mm. The bolt pattern on Outbacks is 5x100mm. Offset for most of the rims is 48-55mm, although there is some leeway there.

    05+ STI's are 113.1. If you do the math, that's 4.5 inches.

Re: Subaru to Saab wheel question

all Saabs under the GM era use a 5x110 bolt pattern (9-2x and 9-7x excluded as they are not Saabs). through the use of "wiggle bolts" you can get away with using them on a pattern up to 2mm off (ie:112 or 108) but 10mm is far to large. ideally you should allays use the SAME bolt pattern as the use of wiggle bolts cause undue compressive stress on the bolt. Also Saab wheels bend like wet pasta so finding a set that are true is a PIA. just buy wheels for your Subaru

Also if the wheels are off a 9-2x they might work as that vehicle is mechanically identical to the Subaru imprezza

Saabaru wheels are fine, although the offset may differ slightly from standard Outback fitments.

Re: Subaru to Saab wheel question

Just watch out, Saab wheels are about as bend resistant as a rubber band. I replaced 3 of them in the 4 months I owned my 9-3.

Re: Subaru to Saab wheel question

The 9-2X is a Subaru, the wheels should fit.
The 9-3 and the 9-5 used different wheels than the 9-2X, and are actually different from each other as well. I believe the 9-3 is 5x110 and the 9-5 was 5x114.
i had to buy new wheels for my previous 9-5 when the factories bent. The 9-3 and the 9-5's were not interchangeable if i remember correctly. My current 9-3 hasn't had an issue, yet.
