I love that she's in there helping but please please please have her tie her hair up around power tools. I've been to a few "haircut" calls in a variety of different shops.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Love it when the kids get involved!!!!
I had a basic three burner Weber (pre-Genesis) for 10+ years at the house I used to own and it cooked beautifully and never let me down. I've been through two Magma Catalina marine grills (all stainless steel, compact, and quite expensive) on my boat and decided to try a lightly used FB marketplace, $100 Weber Q1000 for my third grill. The Weber is vastly superior for cooking and, despite not being marketed as "marine grade", is holding up really well to full-time cruising. There are only three wear items on the grill and they are all dirt cheap to replace.
for the grill base...5" casters came in from temu (look decent quality)...figured larger ones should be easier to get over the garage door lip...hardware i was going to pick up at a hardware store but the bolts were almost $3 each so i just bought those on amazon...waiting for those to come in

It works…used it yesterday…little taller than I would like though

Thanks for putting all that work in. I'm totally not gonna copy that..![]()
go for it...clamping down the metal base to the board to locate all the holes and propane tank hole accurately was clutch (don't forget to mark the door hinge pivot point hole, i did)...i just used an ice pick through the existing holes to mark them then marked with sharpie after...other than that just make sure you don't adjust your height too much...i like it for moving it in and out of the garage with the larger wheels but i feel like i need to stand a few inches higher to be at normal height...if i could have found a nice butchers block table top i would have just used that...would have looked really nice but this grill now has sentimental value to me so i'm happy with it

My three-burner spirit weber has held up over 8 years cooks awesome. replacement parts are easy to get. Only issue is I cook on it so much that I have to remember to clean out the tray often, so I don't have grease fires. I do keep the baking soda handy!
same results from our 2 burner spirit...took a photo of the sticker with the serial on it and it said it was manufactured in 2013...keeping it out of the elements really helps keep it in good shape i believe...only replaced flavor bars and the base now...usually clean the tray out once a year at the beginning of the season with a scraper...it's much easier to clean the other grill...
