For sale here is my beloved 1998 Derbi GPR
Its a 75cc liquid cooled 2-stroke 6spd sportbike made in Spain. 1998 is the first year they made this bike as well, Never sold officially here in the US but seems a fair amount were imported by various sources, Not sure how mine got here but i have a clean NH title for it. Basically a replica of Derbi's 1980s 50/80cc Gran Prix race bikes . Uses a minarelli motor similar to that in an RS50 just bigger Its pretty quick will easily do 100km/h and with a bit of space will push the speedo past 130km/h but your revs are up there. For kicks i had it run on the dyno at seacoast sport cycle and it put 8.3hp at the rear wheel. It also has set pretty much brand new tires on it.
Its a real fun bike, i love it but i bought a better commuter bike as i dont wanna beat on this bike in the city/weather and i gotta face it that i probably cant afford to build it into a small cc road racer/track bike. Im not desperate to sell it but if i can i will, otherwise itll be an onhold track bike for spring
Its got about 5000km on the clock, i changed the gearbox oil at 4800 or so with silkolene, and have run only redline racing synthetic 2t oil, ill include 7 bottles of which with the sale, 4 different sized front sprockets, and a computer copy of the factory service manual.
The only bad parts are that its missing the passenger seat/cover, the right side passenger foot peg and the expansion chamber/exhaust paint is flaking off to reveal some surface rust. I can work with one if those faults are an issue.
I'm asking $1500 obo, cash does funny things but im not desperate. lemme know if your interested and ask any questions!

2 stroke.... Massachusetts street legal?.... For that year bike yes. Call your insurance agent for details on insurance.
This thing is at least 49state legal. Very neat little bikes. You can also race them with the USCRA. Fun class, as no one has any horsepower, so it's all about corner speed.
Nice bike.
nobody interested? Reasonable offers will be entertained

Its located in Medford, Ma. Street tires are very easy, as it uses same size tires as a Buell Blast, however outside of those dunlops there isn't very much available in 16s for race or very sporty tires.
2003 + Derbi GPRs come with 17" wheels which are a direct swap if you can find a set, so for track stuff getting a set of those is your option.
