We will see what happens. Last I checked it won't be my first race bike. I didn't know I was your hero Pete...
Thanks Mongoose. I love peoples reactions to that piece. Mass MOCA is a pretty amazing place, and a great opportunity. Unfortunately I don't think it will make me any faster.
Of course you're my hero, bro!
But I'm just sayin.... if you buy it you gotta race it :P
You never know what the future will bring......
other than a race prepped sv
Sold. Feel like I just sold one of my kids!!!!
at least I imagine thats what it feels like.
are you sure mike? you know its not a $10k dirtbike right?
I am very sure. I can't wait to ride it at the penguin two day this week. It is kind of funny, with all the controversy about the motards on NESBA, but I was pretty sure after riding my 525 at VIR that I needed to branch out a little. I love my motards, but they definitely have their time and place on the track. I figure an sv can teach me a bunch, and is better suited to some of the bigger tracks in the area.
let me know what you think after the two day.
Unfortunately I did not get much of a chance to ride it. The weather was beautiful, and the track was empty, but I did something to aggravate the herniated disk in my back yesterday, before I had a chance to take it out. This is a 4 year old injury. I haven't had a problem with my back and riding at the track in forever. I am not sure if it was because of the crap bed at the red roof, or the result of my trying to make some fundamental changes to my body position. I know I have an unconventional style, largely because of my back problems, and after discussing it with Eric I was trying to make some changes. Unfortunately I may not have the time to go back to the track until next summer.
I tried to ride the sv today and couldn't. I only rode half a session on my ktm today, and called it quits.
I will let you know what I think next time I go.
Hrmm the silver bike in those photos looks very familiar
aw, sorry to hear bout that, Mike.
Awe Man that bites. Get that thing fixed.
