$2500 obo. Picture album with large res pics - Some aftermarket components since removed!.
2003 Suzuki GSXR1000 serviced and completely gone through.
I came across this bike through a friend who was the previous owner, both prior owners are known to us (and perhaps many others here). Adult owned throughout and responsibly enjoyed. Ridden mostly to and from work for many years (with an occasional Vermont trip) by the owner prior to my friend, which accounts for the bulk of its mileage. I think he may have done one track day on it. After I took possession the bike was fully serviced, valves checked found and within spec. As noted above, the chassis was entirely serviced (by Pete at GMD) including new steering head bearings and front suspension serviced with new fluid, seals and bushings (OEM rear shock re-installed).
New DOT 4 fluid and new front brake pads installed along with New Michelin Pilot Power tires. PSR block off plates installed to replace the previously disabled air-injection system (a popular GSXR mod, but the old covers were burned up and crusty), all interfaces with the OEM airbox have been plugged. During the oil change, PSR pre-drilled drain and filler caps were installed with requisite safety wire to make the bike track-day ready. Also, a new 520 chain was also installed.
Several cosmetic issues were also addressed including a brand new Zero Gravity tall windscreen (prior dark smoke screen was showing it's age), new left-hand side switch gear (prior switch had faded from the sun), all keyed components (ignition, gas cap and passenger seat release) were replaced with new OEM Suzuki units ($$$) with two new keys (all old hardware and keys are available if interested, but as the locks did not function smoothly after years of wear they were replaced). A new rear mudguard was installed (the prior one had a small crack near the signal mount), new headlight bulbs were fitted and the bodywork cleaned.
You will not find a more sorted "K3" GSXR1000.
No disappointments, no stories, simply waiting for a new owner that appreciates the high level of care and attention paid to this restoration. Serious offers only. Title is clear and held in-hand. No trades. PM to schedule an inspection. No test rides without cash in hand.
Back up, all stock, $2500. All spares + fancy parts available and negotiable.

This bike is sorted. You probably couldn't find a better K3 anywhere.
Bump, updated NESR price for anyone looking for a beast of a machine. Finally 100% happy with how this bike rides after a slight weak to the front fork compression settings and a test ride last night. Ready and waiting to rip!
If there ever was a sleeper of a Gixxer, this is it. This thing means the business and gets the job done.
Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.

After taking this bike for a ride, I agree, you will not find a better K3 around. This bike is awesome

You really don't want to.

I dont suppose you have a spare windscreen for it and will be at round 4?
I can vouch for this machine, smooth is an understatement, from both the motor and the chassis.
it's well sorted and balanced, I just need to ride it back to TX, through blue ridge & west Virginia to be able to actually appreciate it.
Scott, trade for an MV?

I really like the silver with smoke windshield and lack of decals. It's the opposite of squidly. Somebody's gonna get a lot of bike for their money.
Not nearly as in a "must go" mode anymore as I'm planning to swap ALL stock parts I have back onto this before selling in the spring... BUT, in the off chance someone wants a really, really nice K3 1000 with all the right (and freshly serviced) goodies on it.... here she is again. $5500 with all the good stuff and all stock parts.
Blows my bloody mind this is still sitting here...
Free storage thru the rest of the winter for whomever buys this. AND, I'll guarantee the bike for 3-months in terms of service work or any issues. That's right, 3-mo. ScottieD warranty, bitches! Also as I'm all set up to transport this beast, FREE transport to any NYST day I attend next year. I want to be forced to watch this thing pull horn-mondo's down the straight and be jealous.
Hold on to it. Spring is around the corner. This bike is worth $6000 as it sits. The right buyer who appreciates it's value will come along soon.
I can't believe this isn't sold. I was the first owner and if my back would let me ride it I would be all over this. Good luck with the sale.
It would be a shame to put it back to stock. I think that air box is the single best part I have ever put on a bike that wasn't suspension.
