I have a used 2003 Honda CRF150 that is in great shape for a bike that has been sitting in the garage getting no use. It has dual purpose tires on it right now for some light weight motard action but I also have dirt tires ready to go with it too. I have the title.
Come clear out the space in my garage. Take it for $600

i will take it if he doesnt. Call 603-264-7125 Ryan
The carb needs a cleaning from sitting. Its in need of a bath in solvent. It does fire up and runs fine and all the controls work, but it runs rough due to the old gas sitting in it since last year.
I have 4 motorcycles in my garage right now and a recent purchase of a new BMW RT forces me to make some room as that thing takes up some floor space. I knew the $600 would get it out of there quickly. I hope someone will ride it and use it. It's doing me no good sitting there.
I have 4 pm's so I'll respond in order to them.

The first PM I received is looking at it tonight.
I just went out and turned the key on and gave it a couple kicks and it fired right up. Went up and down the street and tested it out. Ran fine but doesn't like to idle. Like I said the carb needs a little bath in some vinegar.
Stay tuned...

Vinegar? Does that work?

It sure does. It was a tip I learned from Bill the older sales guy that worked in a few Central Mass dealers. He told me to try it on an old 1984 Aero 125 Honda scooter carb I was fixing up. He warned me not to let the carb sit in the distilled white vinegar for more than a day as it will dissolved the metal to powder if you leave it in the vinegar for too long.
I tried it on the poorly running carb and it went from non running crap to working perfectly after a 4 hour bath. I put the whole assembled carb into the vinegar. I made sure to get all the air out of the carb and swirled the solution every so often. I rinsed out the carb with water and then shook and blew out all the moisture. When I reassembled the carb to the scoot it fired right up and worked like it was brand new. It's been 4 years later and the carb still works like new.
It's worth a try on some varnished carb's you need to clean. Simple, cheap and not very time consuming.

Good to see it go to some Track junkies.

For the person who bought it: http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...to-racing.html
Come out and play. These bikes are so rediculously fun.
By the way, $600 is an incredibly good deal.
Pretty sure Hobbs bought it.

1. We do not even know that Hobbs did buy it. I was talking to him today and he said he was down near Worchester buying a bike
2. Money talks, BS walks. If someone worked a deal prior to you guys working yours...Who's fault is that? Just because you stated you "PM'd" does not mean someone else did not get to the seller first.
Sorry fellas, I am not trying to be a dick or defend Hobbs. I am just saying if you missed out on a deal you can't blame the seller or the buyer. Maybe someone offered him asking price or MORE than asking price. Again
I get this all the time over on the Hawk forum (where I am an Admin). Unless there is some kind of written rule saying the first person to type "pm'd" gets Dibs and all other buyers need to wait in line...![]()

First PM was from a guy in Springfield. He had a private assassin show up today with cash to purchase it for him.
The first PM was about 20 minutes after my post. I guess I should have asked for $650 ;-)

no, I didn't buy it either, and I'm with Doc...no rules, no dibs, and the seller can do what he wants to make a sale. I get it on CL all the time...I don't care if a 14 year old emailed me first, has an Xbox, and will call their uncle's brother's friend's manager that works at uhaul and can bring a dirt bike home in 3 months. A guy shows up with cash and a truck, they've got my business.
ducatirdr just said he was going to respond in the order of the pm's, and since I sent one right after I posted at 1am, and pasta rocket posted by 8am, I don't know if he pm'd before he posted, and sent it before I did
edit: mystery solved
ducatirdr: just out curiosity, why not ask for at least a grand? I saw one on craigslist for $1,400
if you did just want to see it get used, and have someone enjoy it, then kudos to you
I have a tendency to do that....I sold a $700 hard tonneau cover to a friendly CL buyer for $200 because I knew he loved his Tacoma, was going to keep it forever, and would really enjoy having it the way I did

I recently purchased a new R1200RT and the spot in the garage was a bit tight due to the unused CRF taking up space. I put this out for sale the end of last summer for a couple hundred more and didn't get a hit. Now I HAD to clear it out of the way so I put the LOW price on it. I knew that would make it move.ducatirdr: just out curiosity, why not ask for at least a grand? I saw one on craigslist for $1,400
Maybe I should start a bidding war on my next item for sale.
