insulate you cellar walls with 2" pink board.
it will make a HUGE difference on the amount of heat you get upstairs from your wood stove!
I insulated the outside with the pink board. I would never insulate the inside concrete walls. When that stove goes out, there's a LOT of stored heat in the walls and floor that maintain the house temperature for several hours. :wink:

fair enough, although the top 2' isn't insulated
my preference is to keep the heat in.
i put the pink up three or four years ago and the difference is huge!
then again it gets cold here.
if you want to store your heat water is a much better medium.
