    2017 Husky 701 Enduro / Supermoto

    $8200 for NESR.

    5639 miles.
Has definitely seen some WOT on the highway, but sadly never tracked.

Currently on SM wheels with Rosso 2's.
Yoshi exhaust, PowerCommander with ignition advance map, and full complement of Rottweiler shenanigans (intake, deletes/blockoffs).
    Scotts damper, bar risers.
Supermoto ABS dongle, spools/sliders, mini stash bag, fender elim, etc.

Down once at 3 mph (but higher-than-typical altitude) due to a trailering fail, documented here someplace.
Will show related scuffs / right-side plastics puncture in pics.
ABS faults with the SM wheels on after a couple minutes above 50 mph, otherwise zero issues.

    Vibey, loud, rowdy af, function-gorgeous.
Will inspire dudebros of all ages to hang out car windows to salute your life choices.

Grab rails and passenger pegs never installed. Can probably find both.
Have the stock exhaust and mostly-intact remains of the stock airbox if you want them.
Have original kickstand to use with dirt wheels. Bike is TALL in enduro form.
Clean title, 2 keys, Husky folder with toolkit, etc.

Thanks guys. I've sorta made my peace with the future regrets (I think...hard to be sure!) but the ZX-4RR and my upcoming aircraft maintenance bill are sort of a "carrot and stick" that helped me into the decision.

The white rims and blue anodized hubs really do whip the llama's ass. I haven't been able to poll all the drive-by thumbs-uppers to ask what inspired them, but I'm sure the wheels deserve more credit than my riding.

What kind of aircraft are you maintaining? I have recently become an enthusiastic VR flight sim user, because somehow it’s cheaper than actually becoming a pilot, lol

    Re: 2017 Husky 701 Enduro / Supermoto

Mannnn, I’ve thought about upgrading my dual-duty DR650 adventure bike / trackday sumo to an equally dual-duty 690/701………
I’ve been hesitant to consider it too seriously for 2 reasons-
    1. The rock-solid simplicity and reliability of the DR, while KTM’s have a reputation for being an, um, “wildcard”
    2. I’ve managed to whiskey-throttle the DR off the trails several times with only ~50hp; I can’t imagine another additional 25hp hurting any less

Although on #1, I just bought another white orange bike that’s been problem-free for the entire 6 weeks and 300 miles I’ve owned it!
The 2017 has the new engine, right?

    Re: 2017 Husky 701 Enduro / Supermoto

I'm not a competent dirt rider by any stretch, but I find it difficult to imagine even a good dirt rider enjoying the 701 in Enduro trim on anything gnarly.
The suspension adjusters DO have a noticeable effect, but overall my feeling is that both ends would perform significantly better on the stiff side at a track day.

I think the orange 690 may have gotten the counterbalanced motor in '17 but the white and blue 701 didn't get it until '18.
Honestly I don't think you'd care; it's vibey, sure, but 400 mile days are not its mission. And once you get it into the higher RPMs it's oddly smooth in a "man I'm not sure a big single is supposed to have this much top end" sort of way.

This motor has been worked hard enough that I'm confident putting mine in the "not a lemon" pile.

1946 Aeronca Champ with 85hp, hand-prop only but a panel-mounted radio driven by a battery under the front seat. Tied down outside and no lock on the door; the only anti-theft measure is most people would die trying to steal it.

    Just did some research:
2016: KTM Duke 690 got the new motor
2017: Husky 701 Enduro/SM got the new motor
2019: KTM 690 Enduro/SM got the new motor

my bike was kind of the exception to the rule...most of them are pretty rock solid

Hrm. Can't say I've ever ridden another 701 so I have no basis for comparison. This is an Enduro, though, which they may have elected not to update? Not sure why my brain is having so much trouble accepting that I might have the newer/better lump, but like, if this is the smooth one then what did the OTHER one feel like?
