01 ktm lc4 400

well, since i'll be the proud owner of 2 new streetbikes this week, i no longer need one bike that does both. I've got a well loved lc4 400 with <5700 miles on it, currently geared fairly high with new chain and sprockets (i have some low gearing too). Its got a 12v outlet, grip warmers, ktm comfort seat, whatever the big fuel tank id (18l i think) currently sporting a 908 rear and a starcross front, big skid plate, and some pro taper bars.
the plastics have scratches, it's fairly heavy for a woods weapon, but if you have the skills, it'll dance for ya. it does not make gobs of power (the carb and exhaust are stock, i haven't drilled the slide or any of the typical mods), but she wears her weight better than any true dual sport that i've ridden. as i said, its geared up so i can commute with it, 65 on the slab without breaking a sweat (forearm resting comfortably on the crossbar to avoid the wind). the ONLY reason i'm listing her up is i snagged a gs500 so, that leaves the pavement pretty well covered, in addition to my racebike, so i'll be looking for a real dirty toy after the "elephant" finds a new home.

those LC4s are great motors and easy to maintain

They are oxx. The oil change is kind of a pita until you do it a couple times, same thing with valve checks. But then, you can just crank up the nickelback in the garage and get-r-dun.

Also, this bike is perfect for fuckin up the neighbor's lawn.
